With a sly smile and cosmic hustle, Emilio secretly lobbies U.S. power players, twisting arms in the shadows to push through the 2018 Farm Bill — the legislation that legalized hemp-derived THCa cannabis and upended the cannabis industry across America. Part sci-fi satire, part stoner anthem, Backdoor Invasion flips the script on Earth’s political puppeteers. Emilio isn’t here to conquer — he’s here to liberate. One backroom deal at a time. This is where the rebellion starts. Cue the bass, light one up, and watch how a Martian reshaped U.S. cannabis history — without Earthlings even realizing it.

Filmmaker Dan Levy Dagerman created Backdoor Invasion over a few scrappy months, experimenting with emerging AI tools like Suno, MidJourney, Sora, Wonder Dynamics, and Runway—most of it made on his iPhone. It’s intentionally lo-fi, raw, and a little rough around the edges—but that’s the point. This is the starting point.
